Boiling Crab and Sprinkles

Sunday, February 5, 2012. After that exhausting hike, we went to eat an early dinner at Boiling Crab. Afterwards we headed to Sprinkles since we had BOGO coupons which were going to expire!

My sister and I shared the catfish basket. I was expecting a fish stick texture inside, but it actually tastes and felt like normal fish! It was great!

Bags of seafood from the left to right of me.

Takeru, Vince, and Carol joined us at boiling crab as well.

So funny story: we checked the closing time for the shop, and it read 6PM on Yelp. It was about 5:30PM by then and we hadn’t even left San Jose yet so we probably wouldn’t be able to make it. We were all panicking but luckily David called Sprinkles and their closing time was actually 7PM. Looks like someone needs to update yelp’s store hours information.
Another intense story: As we were calmly driving down the freeway, Tiffany informs us that her car now reads ZERO for the gas meter. Havoc broke out and basically we were freaking and scared that the car would break down at any minute, forcing us to push the car…in a freeway. So logically, we took the next exit, hoping there’d be a gas station nearby, but it was just our luck that we were in the middle of basically nowhere. Not wasting anymore gas, Tiffany went back on the freeway hoping to get as close to the next gas station as possible. While all this was happening, my sister and I were looking for nearby gas stations, but all of them were 10-15 minutes away. All we could do next is just go towards the closest gas station and hope for the best. Thankfully we made it to our destination and all was good. We do pretty intense things for cupcakes.

Along with our BOGO coupon, we were able to whisper “touchdown” and receive a free cupcake!
