Saturday, May 12, 2012. More specifically the day before Mother’s Day. My mom came down to my apartment to give me tons of food!
It was really supposed to be only rice and some other foods, but she ended up bringing me way more than I expected, which of course was just fantastic! So much food! I love it all!
Made these chocolate covered pancake balls for my mom! I was out of sugar and butter so this was the only dessert I could really make without needing any sugar.
After dropping all of the stuff off in my apartment, we went to SJ Omogari Korean Restaurant, which was only a few block away.
Banchan! Picked turnips, potatoes, carrots, kimchi, bean sprouts and cucumbers.
Bibimbap in a stone pot! Love the sound of the sizzling.
I got the traditional one while my mom got a seafood one.
Afterwards we went to Banana Crepe down the street for some shaved ice!
The wait was very long, but at least we got seats!
Oh yes, I also got a haircut before going to the restaurant. And I was just starting to have fun with my long hair.
Melona and Tiger’s Blood (strawberry, cherry, and raspberry) with ice cream on the inside! The ice cream was so creamy and thick that it was almost like gelato! I wonder what brand of ice cream they use.
Next stop - Shuei-Do Manju Shop for Mochi!
Got different kinds to try them. Pricey at $1.40 each, but it was worth trying.
