Prihadi Summer Party
Saturday, July 28, 2012. BBQ while hanging out with the relatives!
I pretty much only get to see my relatives two or three times a year. Now with everyone at college and basically away from home, the only time when everyone is together is either the summer or christmas and new year.
My cousin and her husband threw this summer party, which gathered up some of our relatives! They were such great party hosts!

Making Mochi.
My Aunt Jennifer showed us how to make mochi! So much easier than the previous recipes I’ve attempted before. Definitely going to use her method of making them the next time I want to make this delicious treat. Thanks!

Sky and BBQ
Joyce and Daniel had this pretty big dog, but I am so glad it wasn’t one of those overly energetic one that licks everybody. I didn’t pet it, but I was okay with it freely walking around.
The BBQ was extremely delicious! I just love the flavor that the BBQ brings out! I especially liked the shrimp even though it was seasoned quite simply. Light and fluffy grilled shrimp! Yum!

Perfect for outdoor parties! Keeping out all those pesky flies—and there were a lot of them flying around too!
Themed set up.
Joyce is definitely a great designer! Loved how everything looked! I was even more stunned (and very jealous) about all of her decorating and furniture!

Just a small part of their house! It was like a model home…but so much better!
Sister and the dog, Sky
After eating lunch, people went swimming. Although I do love swimming, I felt like just staying in and watching the Olympics. Didn’t take many photos after this, but basically more relatives came over. We played monopoly deal with about 8 people, making rent and birthday action cards incredibly effective. I actually won one round of the game! I cut it pretty close though. Then we ate dinner, watched more olympics and went home.
