Mongo Mongo

Sunday, July 29, 2012. Ate at this Mongolian BBQ place mainly because of it’s name.
It was incredibly hilarious hearing Jacky mispronounce “mango” as “mongo” the first time—and it still is. So as we were driving in downtown Sacramento, we passed by this place called “Mongo Mongo” and literally died laughing as I sent the yelp page to Jacky. Jacky stated we had to eat there so here we are.

We first made a stop at the Apple store for Alex to fix his phone.

Mongo Mongo
The place was pretty empty other than two other customers, but it was very spacious and clean inside.
As you can see from the very first photo in this post, there was this divided area where you would go to make your bowl where you then left it to be cooked and served at the table. Really loved the layout of the place.

My bowl
I really love the super fat noodles! For my bowl I added lamb, beef, noodles, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, onion, cilantro, green onions, bamboo shoots, and garlic. And for the sauces: Rice Wine, Bulgogi, House and Mongo Mongo.
This place is potentially great for quick meals or simply for hanging out. It’s sad that it isn’t that busy because I really could see this place being pretty packed. Definitely left satisfied with my meal though!
